moving target detection in mimo radar with widely separated antenna in α-stable clutter based on rao test
Authors
abstract
in this paper, the detector of moving target in mimo radar with widely separated antenna in the presence of α-stable clutter is proposed. due to the complexity of unknown parameter estimation in the presence of target, the rao test is applied. the α-stable model is a general model that can applied to different environments with appropriate selection of parameters. the problem with this model is that inexistence of closed form for the probability density function of the distribution. fortunately, there are models that approximate this distribution by closed form expression. in present paper, mixing of gaussian and cauchy model is used for expressing clutter. finally, the performance of proposed detector compared with optimal gaussian detector with a graph of the probability of detection versus signal-to-clutter ratio. the results of the simulation show that the performance of the proposed detector is far better than optimal gaussian detector.

In this paper, the problems of simultaneously detecting and localizing multiple targets are considered for noncoherent multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar with widely separated antennas. By assuming a prior knowledge of target number, an optimal solution to this problem is presented first. It is essentially a maximum-likelihood (ML) estimator searching parameters of interest in a high-d...
full textRadar Signal Detection in K-distributed Clutter by Pade Approximation
In this paper, two suboptimum detectors are proposed for coherent radar signal detection in K-distributed clutter. Assuming certain values for several initial moments of clutter amplitude, the characteristic function of the clutter amplitude is approximated by a limited series. Using the Pade approximation, it is then converted to a rational fraction. Thus, the pdf of the clutter amplitude is o...

This paper mainly deals with the problem of target detection in compound-Gaussian clutter with orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) radar. First, the OFDM measurement model is developed to compound-Gaussian clutter by taking advantage of frequency diversity of OFDM radar waveform and we devise a generalized likelihood rate test (GLRT) detector where the target scattering coefficien...
